Hiatus
I want to continue working on this blog, but for now, there isn’t time. I’ve gone from having no job to having two jobs that have me pulling 14hr days on weekdays, and putting in some extra hours during the weekends. That is when I’m not busy taking care of my house, taking care of myself, or being with my family. I mentioned before that I had a cousin with terminal cancer, well her brother passed away suddenly/unexpectantly. And her cancer isn’t getting better.
At some point, the workload will slow down and life will normalize. I’ll look at rather I have the time for this blog then. I hope I do, but we will have to see how it goes.

Raven: Spellbound
This episode has been hard to write about. I almost wasn’t going to, but then I was listening to Trauma and Recovery by Judith Herman. It has a section about trauma and abusive relationships. Specifically how society places all the fault on the (typically female) victim, and none of the fault on the abuser. So I decided that I needed to cover the episode Spellbound.

Posting Schedule Change
I have decided to change how often I post on the site. Instead of once a week, the schedule will now be once a month. I now have a lot going on that is preventing me from having enough time to write quality blog posts every week. I want to make sure I give these posts about these Raven episodes the time and attention they need to be great.

Raven is My Trauma
One thing I want to spend more time on this year is healing my trauma. I want to take some time (over the next few weeks) to talk about that today using the character Raven from the 2003-2006 Cartoon Network series Teen Titans. Because there are some parts of the show where she serves as a brilliant metaphor for my trauma and some of the things I struggle with because of it. I want to focus on those parts by breaking down a few select episodes.

Outer Worlds: First Take
So this week, I finished my first play-through for Outer Worlds. My takeaway at this point is: It’s such an odd game. I can’t decide how much I like it. There are things I love about it, and things I don’t. But overall, I’m not sure what I think of it yet.
